Public Information

Architectural Review Board (ARB) meetings are held on the second Monday each month at 7:00 pm, pending the need to meet. The ARB does not do building inspection, only architectural review and zoning compliance. All Village residents are welcome and encouraged to attend the meetings.

Special meeting minutes: April 19, 2018

A meeting of the Village of Riverlea Planning Commission was held April 19, 2018 at 230 W Riverglen.  Members present were Bryce Jacob (Planning Commissioner), Janet Brown, and Taylor Surface. Also present were Tracy Coe, Brian Watkins, and Steven Orenchuk. Joshua C. Mehling served as Clerk.  The Planning Commissioner called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

 

  1. An application for a Certificate of Appropriateness by Tracy Coe and Brian Watkins at 5786 Carrington Ct to add a master bedroom addition, along with a covered balcony and porch. The building materials on the addition will match those of the rest of the house. An upcoming second phase to this project will add a patio and landscaping. This addition will not cause any lot coverage issues on the property. Jacob requested that the applicants submit the ¼ inch plans for this work, as required in the check list. Brown moved to approve the Certificate of Appropriateness and Surface seconded this motion. The following vote was recorded on the motion: Yea: 3, Brown, Jacob, and Surface; Nay: None. The motion carried 3-0.

 

  1. An application for a Certificate of Appropriateness by Steven Orenchuk at 259 Riverglen Dr to add a covered porch entryway. Orenchuk reviewed the colors and materials to be used in the project. The porch will tie in with the existing dental work on the front of the house. In addition, the current light sconces will be removed and replaced with overhead lighting. The current concrete porch will be covered with pavers that will match those previously approved by the Planning Commission for use with new walkways. Surface moved to approve the Certificate of Appropriateness and Brown seconded this motion. The following vote was recorded on the motion: Yea: 3, Brown, Jacob, and Surface; Nay: None. The motion carried 3-0.

 

Brown moved and Surface seconded a motion to adjourn. The motion was approved unanimously

(3-0). The meeting was adjourned at 7:19 p.m.
