Council Attendees: Mayor Daniel Schlichting, Jeffrey Amick, Thomas Bell, Jeffrey Mussman, Emily Saving, Kent Shimeall, Suzanne Surface

  1. Worthington Police Chief Stephen Mylett and Lieutenant Michael Holton addressed Council to introduce themselves and answer questions from members. Council members expressed appreciation for recent patrols in the Village aimed at monitoring speeds and enforcement of stop signs. The Chief asked Council and residents to contact the department and let them know if there is anywhere they should be focusing their attention.
  2. Resolution 2026-02 – A Resolution to Confirm the Appointment of William Charles as Street Commissioner had its third reading and was adopted by Council.
  3. The Mayor stated that the Village is looking for someone to run the Easter Egg Hunt, tentatively planned for April 4.
  4. The Mayor stated that he was contacted by a resident concerned about traffic activity at Olentangy & Southington, where the stop sign locations cause some confusion among drivers. Council is reviewing placement of the stop signs throughout the Village and potential for additions.
  5. Council discussed the responsibility for maintenance of the gutter pans throughout the Village. It is the responsibility of residents to maintain the gutter pans in front of their residence to ensure proper drainage of rain and that the storm sewers remain unclogged.
  6. Council approved a quote for Shields Turf Management to maintain the Village greenspace for the year.
  7. Council member Amick reported that he had spoken with Local Waste Services about recent missed pickups and was informed that they will be sending a supervisor to ride along on the route for several weeks to review and potentially recommend improvements.
  8. The following expenses were approved:

$11.50 – Dan Schlichting – Council supplies
