Regular meeting: September 9, 2013

A meeting of the Village of Riverlea Planning Commission was held September 9, 2013 5830 Falmouth Court. Members present were Michael Jones (Planning Commissioner), Jo Ann Bierman, Bryce E. Jacob and Lisa J. Morris. Jacalyn Slemmer was absent. John Oberle was also present. Pamela M. Colwell served as Clerk. The Planning Commissioner called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

1. The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of August 12, 2013 were not read since each member had received a copy. Morris moved and Bierman seconded the motion that the minutes be approved as submitted by the Clerk. The following vote was recorded on the motion: Yea, 4, Bierman Jacob, Morris and Jones: Nay, None. The Motion carried 4-0.
2. An application for a Certificate of Appropriateness for John and Lori Oberle at 60 West Southington Avenue to add a patio and walkway in the back (north side) of their home. The walkway will run from the patio to the driveway. Blue stone or a facsimile of blue stone will be used. The wall around the patio will be no higher than 3.5′ and will be brick to match the house and will be topped with limestone or blue stone. The lot coverage is under 40%. Morris reminded Oberle that materials are not to be dumped or stored in the street and to make sure the contractors clean up the street daily to prevent runoff into the storm sewers. Bierman moved and Jacob seconded the motion to approve the application as submitted. The following vote was recorded on the motion: Yea, 4, Bierman, Jacob, Morris and Jones: Nay, None. The Motion carried 4-0.

The Commission took no additional action. Jacob moved and Bierman seconded a motion to adjourn. The motion was approved unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 7:15 pm.
