Four elected positions in Riverlea will be on the ballot in November: the Mayor (incumbent Eric MacGilvray), the Clerk-Treasurer (incumbent Josh Mehling), and two Council positions (incumbents Scott Gordon and Chad Lowe). Any resident who is interested in running for one of these positions will need to create a nominating petition (available here) and collect a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 signatures from registered voters who live in Riverlea. The filing deadline is 4:00 pm on Wednesday, August 7, at the Franklin County Board of Elections, 1700 Morse Road. There is a filing fee of $30. Candidates must have lived in Riverlea for at least one year to be eligible to run.
