A special meeting of the Village of Riverlea Planning Commission was held May 13, 2022 via Microsoft Teams electronic meeting. Members present were Bryce Jacob (Planning Commissioner), Janet Brown, Paul Collini, Rich Skowronski, and Jennifer Zipfel. Also present was Emily Andrews. The Planning Commissioner called the meeting to order at 1:04 p.m.

  1. A modification to the application for a Certificate of Appropriateness by Emily Andrews at 5707 Olentangy Blvd for the construction of a new residence. Further examination of the plans for the house have shown that the existing power lines will go over the house, which is not permitted by AEP. In order to avoid these lines, the house would need to be slightly turned to be oriented with the house to the north and shifted 7 feet towards the street. This would permit AEP to bury the line on the property. This shifting and movement of the house would not encroach on the setback area.

Skowronski moved to approve the modification to the Certificate of Appropriateness to reorient the house with the house to the right and move it 7 feet forward and Zipfel seconded this motion. The following vote was recorded on the motion: Yea: 5, Brown, Collini, Jacob, Skowronski, and Zipfel; Nay: None; Abstain: None. The motion carried 5-0.

Skowronski moved and Zipfel seconded a motion to adjourn. The motion was approved unanimously (5-0). The meeting was adjourned at 1:20 p.m.
