October 11, 2015

The Council of the Village of Riverlea met on the above date at 230 W Riverglen Drive, Riverlea. The following Council members were present: Mayor Kirk M. McHugh, Scott K. Gordon, Eric A. MacGilvray, and Josh Schoenberger. Also present were Joshua C. Mehling, Clerk-Treasurer and L. Leah Reibel, Solicitor. Guest of Council was Jim Dippel with Burgess & Niple. At 8:05 pm the Mayor called the meeting to order.

Sewer Outfall Repair Project

  1. Dippel explained that he had received two bids on the sewer outfall repair project. The low bidder was Enviro Construction Company with a bid of $62K. His company had checked the bid and references and everything came back positive. MacGilvray moved and Schoenberger seconded the motion to accept the bid from Enviro Construction Company. The motion passed unanimously (3-0).

Dippel stated that this project was a prevailing wage job, meaning that the Village would need to designate a Prevailing Wage Coordinator to interview employees and submit information to the state. He stated that his company would be willing and able to do this as an additional service. Schoenberger stated that he would work with the Street Commissioner to complete this work in order to save the Village the additional funds.

Adjournment

There being no further business, Schoenberger moved and MacGilvray seconded the motion to adjourn. The motion was approved unanimously (5-0). The meeting was adjourned at 8:13 pm.
