Village Council Resolution No. 2015-02
A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO MICHAEL JONES FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE VILLAGE OF RIVERLEA, OHIO

WHEREAS, Michael Jones has completed numerous years of continuous service to the residents of the Village of Riverlea, Ohio as the Planning Commissioner; and
WHEREAS, Michael Jones has generously and selflessly given his time and talents to serve the interests of the Village of Riverlea and its residents, and
WHEREAS, Michael Jones has utilized his training as an architect to assist the Planning Commission in fairly applying the planning and zoning ordinances; and has ensured that the Planning Commission be run in a professional manner while reviewing applications for certificates of appropriateness and variances; and
WHEREAS, Michael Jones has diligently reported to the Council on planning commission activities in the Village, and assisted the Mayor to ensure that the ordinances of the Village are enforced; and
WHEREAS, in these and other efforts, Michael Jones has performed his responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner, all with a remarkable spirit of collegial professionalism, and has thereby exemplified the ideal of public service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF RIVERLEA, OHIO, THAT:
Section 1. On behalf of the citizens of the Village of Riverlea, Ohio, the Village Council hereby offers its gratitude, appreciation and thanks to Michael Jones for his numerous years of service as Planning Commissioner of the Village of Riverlea and for his dedication and efforts on behalf of the residents of the community.
Section 2. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after the earliest date permitted by law.
Section 3. Open Meetings. This Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Resolution were taken in an open meeting of this Council and that all deliberations of this Council that resulted in those formal actions were in meetings open to the public in compliance with law.
Section 4. Publication. That pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 731.25, the Council of the Village of Riverlea hereby determines that publication of this Resolution in a newspaper is unnecessary and does hereby determine that this Resolution shall be published by posting copies hereof in the five following places which are determined to be the five most public places in the Village of Riverlea, Ohio:
- The Circle on West Riverglen Drive.
- The Ravine Park on West Riverglen Drive.
- The Northwest corner of Beverly Place and Dover Court.
- Lot 75 on West Riverglen Drive.
- Lot 7 on West Southington Avenue
Copies of this Resolution shall be posted continuously in the above-mentioned places for a period of fifteen (15) days and at the expiration thereof this Resolution shall become effective.
WHEREUPON, this Resolution was adopted this 26th day of January 2015.
